2008BANNER

It’s almost that time again.  The 2008 MUSE Writers Conference is October 13-19 and registration is underway.  Lea Schizas has outdone herself again and this year promises to be just as exciting as last year.  Best of all…it’s still FREE.  That should fit every budget.

Some of the presenters this year are:

  • Carol J. Amato
  • Christine Amsden
  • Kim Baccellia
  • Magdalena Ball
  • Christina Barber
  • Lynn Crain
  • Dyanne Davis
  • Shel Horowitz
  • Chandra Ghosh Jain
  • Kristin Johnson
  • …and sooo many others.

Last year was my first year attending and it was absolutely overwhelming.  There were so many great workshops to choose from and they were all, dare I say it, FREE!  I signed up for everything, determined to make the most of the opportunity, and missed a few assignments, chat sessions and discussions. :o(

This year, I plan to take the workshops that will really help me where I am now in my writing career and turn in every assignment given.

The chat sessions are a blast and so much information is given, it’s sometimes hard to keep up.

The forums are a great way to connect with other writers, get feedback and ask questions.  The leaders of the workshops are always so ready and willing to answer any and all of your questions, even the ones you consider "dumb" or "newbie".

A few workshops being offered are:

  • Organize Your Writing Life - with Cheryl Malandrinos
  • Burn Those Bunny Slippers & Become the Successful Writer You Always Wanted To Be! - with Susanne Rose
  • Show and No Tell - with Dindy Robinson
  • Creative Block Buster for Poetry - with Lisa Gentile
  • Wham, Bam, Thank You, Ma’am: Cutting to the Chase and Writing First Chapters That HOOK - By Sara Reinke

If you’ve never attended a writer’s conference because of your slow/low cash flow, now is a great time to dip your feet into the water and have some fun.
