I’m an admitted snackoholic. While cruising through Target over the weekend, I thought I would pick up my favorite Fiber One bars for moments when that sweet craving kicks in. Displayed next to the Fiber One bars were Kellogg’s New FiberPlus Antioxidants chewy bars. They were on sale for $1.88 so I thought I would give them a try.
I immediately noticed a difference when I picked up the box. It was lighter in weight, which made me think they were less then my favorites. I checked the Fiber One box, and yup, I was right. The FiberPlus bars were smaller than the Fiber One bars, but they had the same amount of fiber per serving.
The Kellogg’s bars currently come in 2 flavors, Chocolate Chip and Dark Chocolate Almond. They taste great and the flavor and texture is “lighter” than the Fiber On bars. They do, however, remind me of a cereal bar. Each box (at least mine does) has a $1.00 off coupon when you buy two boxes, which is a nice incentive to buy them again. Especially since they’re on sale right now at Target.
I would buy these again, but not as a replacement for my Fiber One bars. It’s a nice add on in my healthy snack alternative arsenal.
