Description

Anise has been around for centuries and, in its plant form, used as herbal medicine in ancient cultures. It was recommended as a morning “pick me up” by natural philosopher Pliny. This wonderful herb is even mentioned in the Book of Matthew 23:23.

Precautions:

This essential oil should be used in a low dosage of no more than 1.75%. It is recommended that you use this oil less than 2 weeks at a time to avoid the slowing of the circulatory system.

Avoid this oil if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; have endometriosis or estrogen-dependent cancers; and, as always keep away from children under 5 years of age.

Additional cautions when using diabetes medication, an anticoagulant medication, major surgery, peptic ulcer, hemophiliacs, other bleeding disorders.

Uses

  • Diffuse to help calm coughs
